It’s that time of the year when the earlyBlack Friday dealsbegin to arrive, which in turn means it’s starting to look like the right time to keep an eye out for deals on Kindles.
We now have new Kindles to consider, as you’ll see in ourAmazon Kindle Colorsoft review, which should hopefully see prices drop for older Kindle e-readers.
However, right now we’re not seeing a many deals on Kindles, as they are most likely to pop up closer to Black Friday itself, which is taking place on November 29. Yet, it’s worth noting that major US and UK retailers have sales underway or incoming, so do expect to see deals on e-readers pop up sooner than later.

When will the Black Friday Kindle deals start in 2024?
Black Friday 2024 itself will start on November 29, with deals sure to run from there across the weekend and into Cyber Monday, and perhaps beyond. But you can expect deals to arrive well in advance of that, likely some six weeks to two months ahead of the actual day itself.
Kindle deals will likely happen closer to Black Friday propper, but do keep a lookout for discounts on Kindle bundles before then; we’ll be flagging the deals on this page, so get it bookmarked.
Is Black Friday the best time to buy a Kindle?
Not quite. The very best time to buy a discount Kindle is during Amazon’s Prime Day or Prime Big Deal Days sales event, which this year took place in July and October respectively. However, Black Friday and the sales across the period it now occupies, makes it a great time to grab a discounted Kindle, especially an older model.
What Black Friday Kindle deals should I expect?
You can expect price cuts on just about every Kindle this Black Friday. Whether you want the affordable and capable Kindle, the water-resistant Kindle Paperwhite, or the big and feature-packed Kindle Scribe, you can expect such deals on, and in advance of, November 29, 2024.
The Kindle Oasis, Amazon’s most premium Kindle ereader, doesn’t usually get the same great discounts, considering its higher starting price, but we still expect sales. Expect big deals on the base model and the Paperwhite, especially.
Amazon also loves bundles, so we will probably see Kindles bundled with free covers, as well as offers for limited free subscriptions to Amazon’s unlimited reading services, Kindle Unlimited and Kindle Kids.
Amazon is always the best place to start your Black Friday Kindle deals shopping, but it isn’t the only place to find a Kindle deal. Kindle ereaders aren’t available everywhere, but Best Buy and Target sell them and often cut prices to compete with whatever deal Amazon is running.
