Halo Infiniteis a huge undertaking as the next chapter in the Halo franchise, with 343 Industries already being assisted bySperasoftandSkybox Labs. Today, Certain Affinity revealed an ongoing partnership with 343 Industries and confirmed the studio has been working on the game since December 2019.

“Halo Infinite has huge long-term ambitions, while also giving a respectful nod to the franchise’s past. This is an exciting combination. Given our own deep roots and long-time connections to the series, we couldn’t be more excited to help 343 realize this vision,” said Max Hoberman, Certain Affinity’s Founder and President.

Certain Affinity has a long history of assisting with the development of Halo games, being founded by a former Bungie employee and aiding the development of Halo 2, Halo: Reach, Halo 4 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, among many other titles.

Halo Infinite isdelayed to some point in 2021, a decision that was made instead ofreleasing the game in parts. When it does eventually arrive, the multiplayer will becompletely free-to-playand supports 120 FPS onXbox Series X.
