What you need to know
The Dawning holiday event has officially returned toDestiny 2once again, covering the Tower in snow and giving players an opportunity to obtain a ton of holiday-themed items. The event is free to all players regardless of which expansions they do (or don’t) own, and the event lasts until January 5, 2021.
The main activity for The Dawning is, as usual, baking cookies with the NPC Eva Levante. To do this, you’ll need to defeat specific enemies to collect specific ingredients. Then you can combine the ingredients in the oven that Eva gives you to make different kinds of cookies that you can give to NPCs.
Baking cookies are important, as are completing bounties and playing missions. This is because it will net you a unique Dawning currency called Dawning Spirit, which is used to unlock and customize a brand new ship. There’s also a new Fusion Rifle called Glacioclasm that players can earn, which is exciting news since Destiny 2 is in need of some more good fusion rifles. There’s also a lot of new items in the Eververse microtransaction store like armor ornaments and Ghost shells for those who want to buy Silver (or spend some of their Bright Dust). Make sure to check out theevent pagefor more info.
