Key notes
Microsoft has launched the latest build ofEdge91.0.864.1 to the Dev Channel with a few fixes and new features, but with the same list of known issues as previous builds.
It’s been quite a journey for Edge lately, with several new features incorporated into Microsoft’s flagshipbrowser, plus a better performance monitoring system .
In this latest build, Edge developers have focused a lot on fixing and improving behavior for Collections.
The build is available only for developers at this moment and should be soon released to the Beta channel.
What’s been changed for Collections
If you’re using Collections on a daily basis as a sort ofpocket for resources(webpages or images) that you want to have for later use, the feature’s frequent crashes are certainly annoying.
With this build, the developers have fixed such instances when Collections wouldcrashwith syncing enabled or while sorting resources.
Also, if Collections appeared empty, although you had previously saved items there, now you should be able to see all your resources back.
Deleting or undeleting saved items is also fully functional now, so go ahead and sort your preferred pages freely.
And the last detailed fixed for Collections is where right-clicking sometimes wouldn’t bring up the correct menu.
Other crash instances fixed
Also in this build, Edge should now run smoothly and notcrashanymore right upon launching or when drag & dropping tabs.
If you’ve been experiencing crashes when interacting with the Favorites popup or when the Shopping option was enabled, these items will work fine once the newbrowserbuild is installed.
The developers are still working on certain crashes, though:
Some users are still running into an issue where all tabs and extensions immediately crash with a STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH error. The most common cause of this error is outdated security or antivirus software from vendors like Symantec, and in those cases, updating that software will fix it.
