What you need to know
Elite Dangerousis already a pretty incredible game, but the next expansion aims to not only draw in tons of new players, but also attract veterans back to the fold with new gameplay and an astounding number of changes.Elite Dangerous: Odysseyand its enticing first-person gameplay is still a ways off, coming sometime in early 2021, but interested players and fans can get another peak behind the curtains with the game’s second developer diary, available to view now.
Thefirst developer diaryfor Elite Dangerous: Odyssey focused on the planets in the expansion, and how players will be able to explore them, but the second developer diary focuses on the choices in play style. Players will be able to “forge their own path” in Odyssey, playing however they want. You’ll be able to choose where to go, how to get there, and even what kind of suit to wear that best suits your needs and desires.
If the Odyssey expansion delivers on the promises that it’s making, it’ll be an impressive expansion for Elite Dangerous, but it’s not available yet, and should come out sometime in 2021. In the meantime, make sure you’re prepared by grabbing one of thebest HOTAS joystick and throttle combinationsyou can get.
