The Windows Store is an awesome addition in Windows 8 and proves just how efficient Microsoft’s strategy has been.
There are some annoying issues with the Windows Store for Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows RT users and one of the most present is the fact that featured apps don’t appear for some. Here are some potential fixes.
Update ->the Windows Store is now called the Microsoft Store.
But, just like many new products, it has issues or things that must be fixed from the user side. If you are aware, there wasn’t a single iPhone launch, for instance, that didn’t have issues.
While that might be frustrating for the user, one must realize that this is natural to happen. But are users indulgent enough?
How can I fix the Featured Apps feature missing in Microsoft Store?
I’ve just finished solving my issue with the fact that I wasn’t seeing too many apps in the Windows Store. I’ve managed to find some very, very basic solutionsto fix the issue.
Activating and displaying all apps in the Windows Store was pretty easy. Now, if you are opening the Windows Store and you don’t see featured applications like in the above picture, then it probably means you’re having the same issue I had.
There’s no solution for it to work, but if you have followed my article abouthow you need to change localization settings, then probably, all you’ll need to do is to perform a restart and see the featured apps appear.
This is not a big issue, rather a “cosmetical” one, but it gives you the feeling that the Windows Store is a desert when nothing grows, it’s quite ugly, to be frank.
So, what you need to do is to perform those changes and wait for the featured apps to appear. I can’t imagine another reason why it might not work.
I even asked Paul Thurrot, the manager of WinSuperSite, a well-known authority in matters of Windows subjects and he said “I’m guessing that not all apps appear in all markets”. So, if you “trick” your computer into thinking he’s in the USA, that should do it.
We hope you managed to fix the issue and get the Microsoft Store working properly again.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
