It’s April 11th, and for those of you that like keeping your PC updated with the latest and greatest changes, this means only one thing:Patch Tuesdayis here!

Like all other Patch Tuesday updates since the beginning of the Windows OS, they aim to improve your PC’s performance by tweaking the system, fixing any errors, adding new features, and providing better security against digital threats.

That’s what everyone is expecting this month, and we will be looking over what might arrive this week.

What was last month’s Patch Tuesday all about?

The Redmond-based tech giant has been hard at work on security improvements in almost everything that has to do with software security.

Remember to check outMicrosoft’s new Security Copilot, an AI that creates custom alerts, and is based on OpenAI’s GPT-4 AI.

Last month, the 74 new updates that were deployed during the Patch Tuesday rollout addressed CVEs in:

What’s also important to mention is that, out of the 74 CVEs, six are rated Critical, 67 were rated Important, and only one was rated Moderate in severity.

What can we expect from this month’s Patch Tuesday rollout?

Experts consider that we should plan for more critical updates this month, surely uncovering some major vulnerabilities that have or have not been exploited yet.

The Redmond-based tech giant has seriously stepped up the security fixes in their operating systems so we should see that trend continue.

Furthermore, we’ve also seen a lot more updates to the Office suite, so plan for your on-premise and click-to-run versions to have major updates.

In March, there was a CVSS 9.8 bug in RPC Runtime that also has some wormable potential. We’re pretty curious to see how Microsoft has handled that situation.

We also cover Adobe’s Patch Tuesday launch, as we’re sure we know by now. On that note, don’t expect a major path for Acrobat and Reader, as they should have a major quarterly update next week.
