Groundedhas been relatively quiet since itslast major update, the official release of the massivePond Updatethat also included full support for theXbox Series XandXbox Series S. That doesn’t mean the Grounded team hasn’t been hard at work with patches and the next big content update planned for the game, however. Today, the team at Obsidian Entertainment have announced that theirpublic test is opening againto test an update for Grounded.

This is different fromGrounded’s early access, as public tests are meant for dedicated players to opt-in to in order to test big updates that otherwise might be too buggy. This latest public test is presumably for Grounded’s next content update, but it also makes some big changes to how saves and save files work, which should hopefully improve the experience for everyone. Because of this, the Grounded team is asking that testers be extra cautious, as save files brought into the public testcannotleave the public test until the update goes live eventually.

It’ll be exciting to see what Grounded has planned for its future, especially as the game has already seen aton of success with over 5 million playersas of last month.
