Grounded’s backyard is a treacherous place — at least if you’re tiny. The constant threat of stinkbugs, soldier ants, and the dreaded wolf spider should be enough to keep players on their toes. Sooner or later, however, you’ll have to go head to thorax with these creepy crawlies. Having the right weapon will get you far, but these deadly insects will drop you in a second if you don’t have the right armor.

We’ve gathered all the armor and clothing found in Grounded, as well as how to find its recipe, materials, and the status buffs included. Keep in mind that Grounded is inEarly Access and Game Preview. That meansmore contentis on the way, and these requirements are subject to change. We’ll do our best to update this list when we learn more.

Clothing

Clothing

These pieces of clothing aren’t part of any set, and they can be mixed and matched with other armor pieces and clothing items. They each offer a status buff that can be stacked with other bonuses.

Armor Sets

Armor Sets

Each piece of armor can be used individually and contain status buffs, but when worn as a complete set, an additional status buff is unlocked. All of these must be built at a workbench (except the rotten bee armor).

Clover set

The cloverleaf set is the easiest set of armor to craft. Each piece offers the effectFuller, which slows the rate that your hunger level drops. When the set is complete, it activatesMoist, which slows the rate that your thirst level drops.

Acorn set

Individually, the pieces of the acorn set increase your max health. When combined, it enables the effectUncrackable, which increases the number of times you can block.

Ant set

The ant set perfect for those who are less interested in fighting and more interested in infiltration and building. Individually, these armor pieces increase hauling strength, allowing you to pick up more weed stems and grass blades. When combined, they activateHumAnt, which stops soldier ants from attacking you (that is, unless you whack them first).

Grub set

Get your grubby little hands on the grub armor set to activate thePlump and Juicystatus effect. It significantly decreases the rate that thirst depletes. On their own, each piece of grub armor increases your max stamina.

Ladybug set

Individually, the ladybug parts increase your blocking strength. Together, they activateScarlet Embrace, a status effect that allows you to regenerate health slowly.

Spider set

Building the spider set is challenging, as you need to fight the spiders to harvest the necessary parts. It’s well worth the effort, though. Separately, the armor pieces offer the status buff calledHyperstamina, which helps you regain stamina faster. As a complete set, they activateHunter’s Prowess, which makes you run slightly faster.

Rotten Bee set

The rotten bee set is different than the other sets listed because there is currently no way to build this armor set from scratch. You’ll find it in the large anthill on the west side of the backyard, near the spade. Individually, these pieces increase the distance you can sprint before getting tired. Unfortunately, there’s no additional bonus for finishing the set.

Koi Scale set

The Koi Scale set is the latest set of armor to be added to Grounded, thanks to the massivePond update.Exploring the mysterious pondwill uncover many new materials and recipes, including this new set of armor. Each piece of Koi armor offers a Perfect Block buff, which gives you a higher chance of stunning enemies from perfect blocks. Together, they give you a skill called Dazzling Riposte. In fencing, a riposte is a quick attack that follows a parry, so it seems that you’ll do more damage after successfully pulling off a perfect strike.

Survival of the fittest

A good set of armor can be the difference between winning a battle or ending up some bug’s lunch. The backyard may seem tough, but with the right armor, tools and weapons, you’ll bebuilding basesand slayingwolf spidersin no time.
