Creating a bootable Windows 10 USB on Linux
The first thing we need to have, even before we get started with the mounting process, is a Windows ISO file. For that, you will need to head to theofficial Windows 10 downloads page to get the ISOin Linux.

Now that you have the ISO file with you, all you now need to do is mount the .iso Windows file on your USB disk in Linux. Before you do that, though, it’s best to format your USB stick first. Insert the USB stick into your PC. Then go to the search menu, type in ‘disks,’ and select the best match.
Right-clickon the earlier downloaded ISO file, and select ‘Open with other application’. From the applications list, select theDisk Image Mounter. This will mount the ISO file. If you can’t find it, click onOther Locations,and you’ll see the content of ISO file.
Copy all files from there and paste them onto the USB drive. Now you have created a bootable Windows 10 USB. From here onwards, the process is quite straightforward. Insert the USB into the PC you want to use, then restart and boot up from the USB stick to proceed with the installation.
