It seems that the era of augmented reality is upon us, once again. Recently,Apple announced its Apple Vision Pro, a headset set to revolutionize all headsets. In light of this news, Microsoft has also releasedWindows Holographic, version 23H1, the June 2023 Update for its HoloLens 2.

You will be able to upgrade your HoloLens 2 to Windows 11. And if you haven’t done it already, then you should do it. You’ll have a seamless experience with it, and exciting new features are coming to it as well.

Version 23H1 is now available to your HoloLens 2, and Microsoft will also discontinue the support for the Windows Holographic version 20H2, so there is another reason to update it.

Here’s how to upgrade your HoloLens 2 to Windows 11

HoloLens 2 will move to Windows 11 with the 23H1 release.

To upgrade your HoloLens 2 devices they must be currently running the 21H1 May 2021 update (build 20346.1002) or newer.

If the 23H1 feature update is not available, Microsoft advises you to update your device and try again, as the newer updates will be automatically suggested to you.

You should know that, if you are on a version that is older than Windows Holographic version 20H2 (Build 19041.1136), you first need to update to the February 2021 update (build 19041.1136 or newer). Then you will be able to update to the 21H1 May 2021 update (build 20346.1002) or newer.
