The debut outing ofAppleTV Plus’ blockbuster period drama, The Buccaneers, followed a group of fun-loving American women as they arrived on the highly strung courting scene of 1870s London. Adapted from Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel of the same name, the show took a similar revisionist approach as Netflix smash hit Bridgerton and proved to be equally as scandalous. Read on as we explain how to watch The Buccaneers online from anywhere, with the whole series available now.

Sent from the American world of new money to find wealthy husbands, the women’s ambitions went far beyond that as their progressive and vivacious attitudes challenged the stiff upper lip traditions of the British aristocracy. All of this was underscored by a thoroughly modern soundtrack produced by Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa and featuring the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift.

With season one proving a hit for the streaming service, Apple TV Plus wasted no time in announcing a second outing for the rebellious group, with series creator Katherine Jakeways stating: “We know season one left audiences desperate to know what’s next for our buccaneers, so I’m absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to explore the further adventures of this smart, joyful, messy sisterhood.”

Starring as the titular Buccaneers were Alisha Boe (13 Reasons Why), Josie Totah (Saved by the Bell), Kristine Frøseth (The First Lady), Aubri Ibrag (Dive Club) and Imogen Waterhouse (The Outpost), and the whole gang are set to return for the next installment.

With season two on the way and the whole first season available now, it’s the perfect time to tune in, so read on as we break down how to watch The Buccaneers online. It’s completely free too if you’re anew subscriber to Apple TV Plus.
