Microsoft Inspire is back, and there’s a lot to unpack. Microsoft Teams has been receiving a lot of updates and features that are designed to make hybrid work easier and more seamless. However, there has been a bit of a tussle trying to strike balance, where the employees’ demands are fulfilled and at the same time, the organization’s business also gets to thrive.

Today, Microsoft is introducing Teams Connect Shared Channel, a platform where users will get to interact with people within your organization and outside. This enhances the collaborative experience as you get to work, chat, share, meet, share, and co-author files together. Teams Connect Shared Channel has already reached general availability.

Aside from that, Microsoft is also launching Excel Live which is quite similar toLive Share, but with a twist. It lets meeting attendees collaborate on Excel workbooks in real-time while in a Teams meeting, Live Share only lets “participants collaborate in apps directly within the Teams meeting window”. Although, Live Share has also gotten new extensions in the Teams SDK, which has made it easier for developers to build apps.

Video Clip has also made it to Teams, where the user can record, send and view short videos. A nifty feature that will provide an alternative to sending out messages. The recipient of the video will also be able to playback the short video at their own convenience.

And finally, you can now interact with content shared during meetings using collaborative annotations. Users can now draw over the content, type, and react to the shared content using the “rich toolset of Microsoft Whiteboard”.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
