Key notes

Microsoft Rewards is one of the platforms that enjoys a lot of popularity amongst Windows users. This platform is rewarding users for doing daily tasks: from surfing the web on Bing to taking quizzes and so on.

And the rewards are good too. Just last week,Overwatch coins were reintroducedto the platform, and many users were happy about it.

Unfortunately,Microsoft Rewardsis not available everywhere, but where it is, it’s usually very popular. And while sometimes,it can have a lot of bugs, they get fixed very fast and users are generally happy about it as a whole.

That’s why many users are starting to wonderif Microsoft Rewards is going away. The Redmond-based tech gianthas recently laid over 10000 employees, so that means the company is cutting the budget.

So, of course, that one might think Microsoft Rewards will suffer from this as well. But is it a valid question? We’re taking a closer look at the user’s input on the platform to check this issue out.

Is Microsoft Rewards really going away?

Is Microsoft Rewards really going away?

A Reddit user has noticed some signs on the Microsoft Rewards platform that led them to believe Microsoft is actually thinking about closing it down.

However, Microsoft Rewards is a pretty volatile platform. Just recently, some users experienced a bugwhere their daily streak disappeared from the platform. But not all users were affected, and some of them even reported that the platform works just fine.

So in this case, many of the points the user noticed might only happen to this user alone. Others in the thread do not agree with it.

Here’s what the users say about Microsoft Rewards

They’re just altering the numbers and highlighting other areas they want people to focus on, spreading the points around instead of all being collected easily in one place I feel.

As someone who has been away from rewards for a couple of years and is just now coming back, I think it is way easier now than it was a couple of years ago. I haven’t seen this or that yet. Weeklies on the console no longer require achievements. This is all good news to me.

Some users also agree that Microsoft Rewards is not going away, at least not for now. The reason? It’s a good way to motivate people to use Bing, whichMicrosoft is trying to push forward.

Compared to when it first started I feel it is far easier to earn points now than ever before. Seems I can earn 20k or more in a month if I so wished. They may reduce the program but I doubt they’ll wind it down. How else will they get clicks on Microsoft Bing?

Ultimately, you shouldn’t worry about Microsoft retiring Microsoft Rewards. It’s not going anywhere for now, and it most likely won’t be going anywhere in the future as well. On the contrary, some might say Microsoft is pushing it globally, making it available in countries it’s not available currently.

So, rest assured about it, and go collect your rewards. And be sure to let us know your thoughts and opinions on the platform in the comments section below.
