When running a business or organization, communication plays a crucial role as it determines the trajectory you’ll take which is why Microsoft keeps on making updates and adding features across its multiple platforms. Case in point, during Microsoft Build 2022,Link unfurling made its way to Microsoft Teams.
Namrata Khubchandani from Microsoftpens down that:
At Ignite 2022, we’re announcing public preview for Link unfurling in Outlook. Users will now be able to insert a link, and have it expanded into a rich actionable preview card (where a corresponding message extension supports it), allowing recipients to get additional context on the link and complete their workflows in Outlook, without context switching.
Link unfurling, therefore, enhances link sharing as senders will be able to add more information to the link shared through the tool. Recipients will also be able to make any actions such as update status, re-assign tasks, or add comments while in preview mode without having to switch context by opening the links completely.
Here’s a glimpse of how to make use of the tool in Outlook:
At the moment, the feature is in public previewand has already begun rolling out to users enrolled in the Microsoft 365 Targeted Release program as well as those who are members of the Office Insiders program and have Outlook for Windows installed from the Beta Channel.
However, if you are a developer and your message extension app supports link unfurling in Teams, and likewise has already been extended to Outlook, then you be able to use it in Outlook.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
