After months of rumors and speculation, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition wasannouncedon N7 Day: November 7, 2020. Now, BioWare and Electronic Arts have shared exactly when we’ll get to play this remaster collection. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition’s release date is set for May 14, 2021.

Across all platforms, textures have been reworked and over 40 DLC packs are included, with the Extended Cut endings now the default, while the promo weapons and armors among those DLCs addded. Everything is filed under a single launcher, while fans of the Mass Effect 3 FemShep will be happy to know she’s now the default female appearance for all three games.
BioWare has done additional work to “unify” the three games, with better UI and controls for the first Mass Effect, as well as new character creator options, though the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer unfortunately is not included.
When Mass Effect: Legendary Edition releases on May 14, 2021, It’ll be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and PS4. It’s enhanced for the higher-end consoles, running at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PS5.
Thenext Mass Effectgame is a long ways off but is being built by a team of veteran developers at BioWare. It’s still a long ways off but there’s a few things we can glean about where the series might be going.
