Microsoft: A fix for disconnecting Xbox controllers is on the way

If your Xbox controller has been disconnecting randomly recently, you’re not alone. Scores of threads across reddit and other Xbox support sites detail instances where theXbox Series XandXbox Series Scontrollers spontaneously disconnect, due to unknown factors. If you’ve been suffering from the issue, a fix may be on the way.

Brad Rossetti from the Xbox platform team noted that a fix is currently being deployed to Xbox Insiders, which should solve the issues some have been seeing.

We haven’t been able to reproduce the connectivity problems with our own accessories among the Windows Central team, but a quick glance across social media certainly shows that these aren’t isolated incidents. Hopefully, this fix will sail through testing and make its way out to the public sooner, rather than later.
