Microsoft announces Xbox Series S Fortnite and Rocket League bundle with free goodies

Microsoft has announced today a newXbox Series S – Fortnite and Rocket League bundlewhich comes with the Midnight Drive Pack, including accessories, V-bucks, and more. While Fortnite and Rocket League are both free-to-play games, adding free 1,000 Fortnite V-Bucks, 1,000 Rocket League credits, and cosmetic items to the mix may be a very interesting proposition for young gamers.

“With the Midnight Drive Pack for Fortnite, you can customize your looks with the Dark Skully outfit, Dark Skully Satchel Back Bling, Dark Splitter pickaxe, and 1,000 V-Bucks to spend on cosmetic items or to get the latest Battle Pass. For Rocket League add-on content, you get the standout Purple Masamune Car, Purple Virtual Wave Boost, Purple Zefram Wheels, and 1,000 Rocket League Credits that can be used to build Blueprints, upgrade to Rocket Pass Premium, or purchase most-wanted content from the Rocket League Item Shop,” the Xbox team explained.

This new Xbox Series S Fortnite and Rocket League Bundle is launching today in North America, with other markets to follow in December. Consumers can eitherpay $299 for the bundleor use Xbox All Access to get the bundle plus 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $24.99 per month for 24 months.

Both Fortnite and Rocket League support framerates up to 120fps on the Series S, and these free-to-play games no longer require an Xbox Live Gold subscription. With its entry-level price, the Xbox Series S is the perfect console for kids and teenagers, and it should sell well during the holiday season. According to new data from Ampere Analytics, the Xbox Series S hassold better than the flagship Series Xin “several key markets.”
