Microsoft is making it easier tosync your calendars between Outlook and Teamswith their latest Microsoft 365 roadmap additions.
Microsoft has introduced a real-time calendar sync feature between Outlook and Teams. When you modify your Outlook calendar, they will automatically reflect in your Teams calendar, and the same applies vice versa, and it all happens in real time.
For Feature ID 138248, this update was added to the roadmap on August 22, 2023. The feature will be available for Microsoft Teams users in various instances, including DoD, GCC, GCC High, and Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant). Desktop and Mac platforms will be covered, and the feature will be generally available starting September 2023.
In another move to improve calendar functions, Microsoft Teams is also getting an update. Feature ID138326, added to the roadmap on the same date, lets you see real-time meeting changes on your Teams calendar using Android and iOS devices. This feature covers multiple cloud instances like the previous one and will be generally available. The rollout for this enhancement began in August 2023.
These updates from Microsoft aim to streamline calendar management, helping users keep track of their schedules seamlessly across Outlook and Teams.
