Microsoft Flight Simulatorreleased for PC back on August 18, crossing amillion playersin its first couple of weeks. Today, we’ve learned viaXbox Wirethat Microsoft Flight Simulator has crossed 2 million players, while also becoming the fastest-growing entry ever in the Flight Simulator series.

Some more interesting statistics shared indicate that players have charted over 50 million different flights and have flown over 3.5 billion miles.

Developed by Asobo Studio and published by Xbox Game Studios, this ambitious sim is coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles sometime in Summer 2021, asannouncedduring the Game Awards 2020. Meanwhile, theVR modefor PC users is coming in a large patch on December 22.

While there’s been several patches andupdatesfor bug fixes so far, the developers are planning three future “large updates” in addition to four or five further World Updates. In the meantime, if you’re waiting on the console version to arrive, you can try to track down one of thebest Xbox HOTAS controllers.
