Microsoft is expanding its Skills for Jobs program by providing free access to 350 courses and six new Career Essentials.

Announcedvia LinkedIn post, cvp of Microsoft Philanthropies Kate Behncken lists the six new career roles that are in greatest demand and have become part of the Career Essentials Certificate program that include Administrative Professional, Project Manager, Business Analyst, Systems Administrator, Software Developer or Data Analyst.

As a refresher, Microsoft’s Skills for Jobs program is an effort from the company to “work with communities, nonprofits, and governments to help people excluded from the digital economy gain the foundational, role-based, and technical skills to gain jobs and livelihoods.”

For those interested, Microsoft is making this free to anyone that is looking to learn a new skill, completely free. In addition, Microsoft will also be providing grants to nonprofit partners to aid in training for these newly skilled participants.

Alongside the free courses, Microsoft will also be offering up to 50,000 LinkedIn Premium subscriptions to its nonprofit partners to hand out to those who obtain certificates as well as access to 18,000 LinkedIn Learning courses that are only offered via the paid Premium LinkedIn experience.

Microsoft is encouraging folks to visit opportunity.linkedin.com to check out courses and certificates available.
