Microsoft India today announcedthe availability of the new Surface Laptop Studio in the country starting next month. While the pre-orders via authorized retail and online partners will commence today, February 15th, the device will be available via both commercial authorized resellers and retail and online partners next month from March 8.

It’s been a good start to the year for Surface enthusiasts in India. In January,Microsoft India announced the launch of the Surface Pro 8in the market (in fact, it will be available in India starting today, along with the Surface Pro 7+).

The most powerful device in the Surface portfolio as yet, the Surface Laptop Studio is a Windows 11 convertible laptop aimed at developers, creative professionals, and gamers. Surface Laptop Studio is also the first of its kind from Microsoft (an aberration from the Surface Book line-up) and features an ultra-durable Dynamic Woven Hinge allowing it to transition from one mode – Laptop, Stage, Studio – to another seamlessly.

It features a 14.4-inch PixelSense Flow touchscreen, a vibrant 120Hz display, and Quad Omnisonic speakers with immersive Dolby Atmos. With 11th Gen Intel Core H35 processors, DirectX 12 Ultimate, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, the Laptop Studio also packs in a punch.

Surface Laptop Studio will be generally available from March 8 in India starting at ₹1,56,999 ($2075) for the entry-level Core i5/16GB RAM/256GB SSD configuration. The top-of-the-line variant will set you back by a whopping ₹3,43,499 ($4541) though. Customers booking during the pre-order period (February 15-March 7, 2022) will be eligible for a free Slim Pen 2 worth ₹11,399.
