Bing Image Creator officially ships in Creative mode

Microsoft’s AI image generation tool,Bing Image Creator, has launchedin Creative mode, allowing users who have been given access to generate image using AI, by supplying a description of the desired image. It’s not unlimited use, however, as users are given a set amount of weekly credits, but can also purchase more using Microsoft Rewards points.

CMA provisionally concludes Activision Blizzard deal will not harm competition, though investigation continues

In its latest update, the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority hasprovisionally conclude that Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard would not harm competition. Despite this, the investigation will continue before the CMA makes a final conclusion on the deal.

WhatsApp rolls out new Windows client with improved group calling features

WhatsApp has introduced a new app for Windows, with a focus on improving the group calling experience. The app allows for 8 people to be in a video call at the same time, and audio calls with up to 32 people, whilst offering end-to-end encrypted communication.

In an effort to help developers understand how they can improve the energy consumption of their games, Microsoft hasannounced that it is to introduce a new toolkit to measure Xbox energy consumption.
