Microsoft Outlook outages occurring across Europe

A spike in outages occurred for Outlook users in Europe, though it’s difficult to tell the gauge of the issues.

What you need to know

Microsoft Outlook appears to be down for several people across Europe right now. Starting at approximately 6 AM ET, a spike of reported outages appeared onDown Detector. It seems that the majority of outages are in Europe. The spike has since ended, but reported outages are still above normal rates.

Down Detector relies on people reporting outages, so it can be affected by how many people are awake. At the time of the spike, it was still early in the United States, so it’s difficult to gauge the scope of the outage. The spike shown below has times set in the UK, which is currently four hours ahead of EST due to daylight savings time.

Outlook had anoutage earlier this monthon October 7, 2020. Microsoft rolled back an update that fixed that issue within a short period of the outage starting.
