Microsoft has announced thatOutlook’s multi-account search feature has been postponed indefinitely. This delay comes after the initial news generated by the feature’s announcement on July 24, ’23.

Previously, users were limited to searching one account at a time. The promised functionality would have enabled users to search their configured mailboxes, presenting a unified message list combining results from various accounts. This improvement could significantly enhance productivity and user experience.

However, an update on August 3, ’23, brought unexpected news. The feature with ID 151030, which had been on the roadmap for release, was suddenly put on hold indefinitely. The exact reasons behind this decision have not been disclosed, leaving users curious about the future of this sought-after feature.

Initially scheduled for rollout in July 2024, the multi-account search feature was expected to be accessible on various platforms, including the web, for users across the globe under the standard multi-tenant configuration and GCC.

As we, the Microsoft users, wait for further information, the indefinite postponement of the Multi-Account Search feature leaves us without the anticipated enhancement to our Outlook experience.
