Minecraft Dungeonscan be played alone but seriously benefits from co-op fun. Today duringMinecraft Live, the developers revealed that Minecraft Dungeons cross-play is coming later this year in a free update. This means players across Xbox One, PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch can all get in on the dungeon-crawling action together.
While there’s no exact release date, the cross-play update is coming at some point inNovember, so players shouldn’t be waiting too long. Minecraft Dungeons is also available to play via Xbox Cloud Gaming viaXbox Game Pass Ultimateand even supportstouch controls.
Minecraft Dungeons has continued to grow since launch, with the release of theJungle AwakensandCreeping WinterDLCs. More updates and endgame features are planned, as is future DLC. There’s plenty of other news coming out of Minecraft Live, regardless of whether you enjoyMinecraft, such as the upcomingCaves and Cliffs updateset to release in Summer 2021 or theHowling PeaksDLC for Minecraft Dungeons.
