Bioware’s Dragon Age RPG is the latest video game franchise getting a Netflix streaming series adaptation. The new animated series, whichreleases onDecember 9th, will be titledDragon Age: Absolution. The official synopsis reads thus,

With great power at stake, a group of rebel mages and thieves goes head-to-head against a sinister force possessing a dangerous artifact.

Season 1 ofDragon Age: Absolutionwill consist of six 30-minute episodes. Also revealed was the voice cast, withKimberly Brooksin the lead role of Miriam. Brooks is a veteran actress and voice actress whose video game credits includeStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic,Halo 4,Bioshock Infinite,Psychonauts 2,Far Cry 5, and many others titles. Other cast members areMatthew Mercer(Falco inCyberpunk 2077; Cole Cassidy inOverwatch 2) andAshly Burch(Tiny Tina ofBorderlandsfame), among several other noteworthy names.

Dragon Age: Absolutionis developed byRed Dog Culture House, a Korean studio also responsible for another Netflix animated series: 2021’sThe Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf,with Graham McTavish (Castlevania) and Theo James.
