What you need to know
343 Industries hassharedanother piece of the soundtrack inHalo Infinite. While the previous track wasSet a Fire in Your Heartby Gareth Coker, this week, the track is titled Reverie and was composed by Curtis Schweitzer.
This track can be heard in thecampaign gameplay demoand according to Schweitzer, it was designed as “hoping that it helps the player get a sense of awe, wonder, and mystery when looking at the ring.” You can listen to the track below.
Schweitzer has previously worked on some indie games and is one of three composers working on Halo Infinite, alongside Gareth Coker and Joel Corelitz. All three composers are working together under 343 Industries Music Supervisor Joel Yarger, who helped supervise the music for God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Days Gone, among others.
Schweitzer noted that it was important for the music to hit classic Halo notes and be “ancient, epic, and mysterious” while also making sure there was new material building on the past foundations.
Halo Infinite is currently scheduled to arrive sometime in Holiday 2020. It’ll launch on Xbox One, PC andXbox Series X. Themultiplayer will be entirely free-to-playand runs at 120FPS on Xbox Series X.
