Microsoft just releasedthe latest Dev Channel build, version 25145, for Windows 11, and along with a number of changes, fixes, and improvements, it includes three new features:
Narrator Braille Driver Solution
This change allows Braille devices using Windows 11 to continue to work when switching between Windows’ Narrator and third party screen readers, with Narrator now gaining the ability to automatically change Braille drivers. You’ll need to make some configuration changes, see the Windows Insider blog post for more.
OneDrive storage alert and subscription management comes to Settings
Similar to Microsoft 365 subscription management options available in Settings, with this new build you’ll be able to view billing, payment method, and OneDrive storage usage within Settings for OneDrive Standalone 100GB subscriptions. The page will also notify you if you are close to or above your OneDrive storage limit. This feature begins rolling out today, but as usual Microsoft will “monitor feedback and see how it lands” before pushing it out to everyone on the Dev Channel.
Local Administrator Password Solution
Microsoft is bringing the legacy “Local Administrator Password Solution” (or LAPS) to Windows natively with this new build. A number of new features have been added to LAPS, although “feature documentation is not yet available.” Check the blog post for more.
