At the beginning of this month,PowerToys version 0.63.0shipped. It was considerably smaller compared to the previous version, and focused on stability and efficiency on top of a couple of tweaks.

And now, two nifty features are set to ship to future versions of PowerToys. First up is theSettings backup feature, which will let users backup and restore their settings with just a single click at any time they want.

The feature can be accessed by users through the “General” setting page, where they can also get to select where to backup their data.

Next up is a feature that will let the usersedit hosts file. Currently, users depend on the Notepad to work on the file, but with the new feature unpacks a user interface which in turn enhances efficiency and effectiveness.

The feature also adds new capabilities such as adding new entries and repositioning, filtering, disabling and pinging existing addresses. What’s more, users can add comments to the entries made. It has not yet been confirmed when and if these features will come to Powertoys.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
