AMD has announced the new series of graphic cards – Radeon RX 500 – based on Polaris architecture.

Radeon RX 500 series graphic cards feature various last-gen technologies, including DirectX 12, Radeon Chill, Vulkan gaming, Radeon FreeSync 2 and much more.

Optimized DirectX 12 and Vulkan gaming

TheRadeonRX 500 series is going to perform amazing with low-level, next-gen APIs likeDirectX 12and Vulkan, and it will provide outstanding VR and gaming experiences. The GPUs also feature higher clock speeds, multi-monitor efficiency and improved idle. Gamers will enjoy some new fine-grained controls for tuning their hardware.

Radeon Chill – Increased efficiency, improved response time and cooler operation

Radeon Chill is an advanced framerate controller that is going to automatically work in the background to regulate framerates in the most dynamic way.

Radeon FreeSync – smoother, stutter-free gaming

Radeon FreeSync 2 features high-brightness pixels, and an excellent color gamut for displaying HDR content and for featuring LFC. This will offer gamers a plug-and-play stutter-free experience.

Radeon ReLive – awesome streaming and gameplay capture

This software suite allows gamers to enjoy both smooth gaming and recording at the same time, supporting recordings at 4K resolution at 30 and 60 FPS using HVEC and H.264 codecs.

It delivers 57% better performance compared to the Radeon R9 380X in the following areas: testing, smooth gaming in AAA games, and VR experience. The Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 is about $229, and the Radeon RX 580 4GB GDDR5 is $199.

The Radeon RX 570 with 4GB GDDR5 boasts an average of 2.3X better overall performance than the Radeon R7 370, and it’s $169.

The Radeon RX 560 delivers 57% more performance that the Radeon R7 360. With 2GB of GDDR5 memory, you’ll find it at $99.

The Radeon 550 features 2GB of GDDR5 memory, and it’s ideal for home theater PCs supporting HDMI 4K60, 4K playback and HEVC content. It also supports Radeon FreeSync tech for an amazing gaming experience.

Radeon RX 580 and 570 are already available on sale, the RX 550 will be available these days, and the RX 560 will be available starting from this May.
