Rumors have been hot and heavy thata Red Dead Redemption remaster or even a remake is in store. So far nothing has been announced or even hinted at from publisher Rockstar Games, and until then anything we hear should be taken with a grain of salt.

With that said, the latest “tidbit” comes from Twitter user@Budzcariowho seems to think that this project will be released well before the end of 2023.

“Budz” didn’t bother to divulge where his information came from exactly. However, games journalist Colin Moriarty (formerly of IGN) has also indicated that the remake/remaster is real.

I have seen confirmation that this is real…I had someone reach out to me behind the scenes that showed me something that definitively shows this game is coming. Maybe even imminently with an announcement, maybe in August.

It’s also worth noting that the game recently gota fresh rating from Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee.

Red Dead Redemptionreleased on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 back in 2010. It is revered as one of the best games of that era, and its sequel, 2018’sRed Dead Redemption 2, followed suit garnering both critical and commercial success upon release. It has been speculated that a potential remake of the first RDR could be done inRed Dead 2′s engine.
