Key notes

The Release Preview Channel now has access to Microsoft’sKB5026436update, as launched by the tech giant. One of the updates included in the KB5026436 release is the resolution for printer installation issues.

This update resolves a problem that impacts specific printers, causing them to be unable to install when automatically connected to Wi-Fi. Additionally, the update also addresses an issue related to the installation of some multi-function label printers.

There are plenty of issues that cause theprinter won’t installon Windows 11. We’ve also prepared a set of guides about it, but in short, some of these issues include outdated drivers, software conflicts, lack of permissions/farewell issues, and more.

As you may recall, Windows 11 has had previous issues with printers that it has attempted to resolve. In September 2022, when Microsoft released the Windows 11 2022 Update (22H2), some users experienced a severe printer problem where their device would vanish because it was unable to be detected by the Microsoft IPP Class Driver or Universal Print Class Driver.

So, what other improvements does the KB5026436 bring, you may ask? Here’s what we’ve got from Microsoft’s release note.

If you remember, the Release Preview Channel provides Insiders with builds that are near-final, allowing them to test new features and provide feedback before the builds are released to the general public.

Unlike the hot-off-the-pressesCanary channel, this channel is aimed at users who want to test the latest features of Windows 11 with minimal risk of encountering bugs and other issues.
