Microsoft is recapping thefeatures that made it to Excel in June.This includes sheet protection and semi-select for links creation in the web for Excel for the web, and several other features on Excel for Windows and Excel for the Web.

We’ll be starting first with what’s new with Excel for the web. On this version of Excel, you can turn sheet protection on and off as you need it. This is for temporarily pausing protection for just a single session, or configuring unlocked ranges and other sheet protection options. Furthermore, you can now also get to customize which slicer applies to which PivotTable in Excel for the web. Then finally, Semi-select has also made it to Excel for the web, which means you can now get to create workbook links using cross-workbook formula selection.

Next, for Excel on Windows, new features included adata from Picture. This lets users insert information from a picture on your clipboard or an image file from your computer. Therefore, you no longer need to type in all the data as before. Aside, from this, you will also get automatic alt-text suggestions on charts and PivotCharts, which allows you to know what is being conveyed in the chart.

As for Excel for Mac users, they got the automatic alt-text suggestions on charts and PivotCharts, as well as the ability to import data from local files such as Excel workbooks, Text, and CSV files, using Power Query in Excel for Mac.
