This week has turned out to be a pretty big one for the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Earlier this week, thelistingfor Jedi: Survivor on Steam updated with the release date of March 15th 2023. Some people seemed to have seen March 16th listed as the date which suggests that the game will get a simultaneous worldwide release. For example, the game will likely unlock on the 16th in Australia and on the 15th in the United States due to the time difference.

The listing also included new images and details of pre-order bonuses in addition to some plot information and the type of gameplay that fans can expect.

All of this new information and media was quickly removed from the listing but not before numerous people took copious amounts of screencaps. You can check them out below.

However, soon after its removal from the Steam listing, the official EA Star Wars Twitter account tweeted it out along with the announcement that gameplay footage from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor would be revealed during The Game Awards this Thursday.

It’s expected that the March 15th release date will also be officially revealed during the same The Game Awards presentation.

Development of a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order had been hinted at ever sincethe game’s release in late-2019. However, proper details and the title, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, wasn’t announced until early-2022.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set between Star Wars Episode III and IV (around the same time as the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor TV series) and follows Cal Kestis, the protagonist from Fallen Order, as he continues to survive during the Empire’s rise to power across the galaxy. The game will release on Windows PC and Microsoft’s current gen Xbox Series S and Xbox Series S consoles.
