For a while now, Microsoft has been trying to create an enabling environment that complements thehybrid workplace. They hadearlier shared their visionand highlighted the direction they wanted Teams to take, in an attempt to help clients transition to a new normal.

It now seems that they may be on the verge of achieving their goals, as one of the key updates, Front Row, is starting to roll out. It provides both single and dual display modes.The announcement was made on February 1. but the feature is rolling out now. They further highlighted that the feature will seamlessly enhance the meeting experience between in-the-room meeting users with those joining it virtually. (Via ZDNet)

The video gallery has been moved to the bottom of the screen, the change is set to enhance the meeting experience for attendees joining virtually, ultimately providing a more life-like experience.

According to a post on LinkedIn, the feature is a brainchild to both the Microsoft Global Workplace Service IT team and the Microsoft Teams product team. The post goes further to indicate that users do not need to have access to special peripherals to use the feature.

Moreover, Microsoft is still working onmore featuressuch as the segmented video layout. Front row is already available on Microsoft Teams, therefore, users are encouraged to download the app to fully explore the Front Row feature during work meetings.
