The Initiative Design Director Drew Murray steps down from Perfect Dark

At the Game Awards 2020, Microsoft’s new studio The Initiative, founded in 2018 under Darrell Gallagher, revealed that it was working on a reboot ofPerfect Dark. While the team at The Initiative is continuing to grow as they work on this ambitious title, one of the prominent developers is stepping down.
Design Director Drew Murray, who joined back in November 2018, announced via Twitter that he’s stepping down from The Initiative. Murray previously worked at Insomniac Games on games like Sunset Overdrive, Resistance and Ratchet and Clank. You can read Drew’s thread on Twitter below.

Murray cited personal life reasons for stepping down from the team, while stating that the “silver lining” was in how he’ll get to enjoy the game at launch as a fan as well. Whatever his reasons are, we’re sure he’ll be missed and wish him the best.
Whenever Perfect Dark arrives, it’ll be available onXbox Series X,Xbox Series Sand PC. Like all Xbox Game Studios titles, it’ll be available onXbox Game Passday one.
