Key notes

It’s that time of the month: Microsoft launched Windows 11 Insider Build 25309, featuring a plethora of new features you do not want to miss, live on the Dev Channel for several select users.

Not too long after announcing the Moment 2 update for general availability, which includesthe Bing AI chatbot on the taskbarandthe Phone Link availability for iPhone users, the Redmond-based tech giant came out with good news for insiders.

As noted from Microsoft’sblog post, three main touch-ups are included in this update. After a few months of sitting in hidden, the Volume Mixer feature is finally official on this build. Now, you can easily tweak volumes for each opened program through your taskbar without opening the Settings app or customizing it per-app basis. You can also hit the shortcut Win + Ctrl + V to bring you faster to the mixer.

Moreover, the touch keyboard setting that was previously disabled in Build 25217 is back with a few fixes. The Auto Color Management (ACM) also gets a nice expansion where now all Insiders can turn it on for their SDR displays with all colors available, and so does the in-app command help page in voice access.

Redesigned in-app command help page: We have completely renovated the in-app command help page in voice access to make it simpler to use and comprehend. The search bar allows users to quickly find commands and the different categories provide further guidance. Every command now has a description and examples of its variations, making it easier to understand and use.
