Reisdent Evil Villageis on the way, and depending on how it turns out, this could end up being one of thebest Xbox gamesavailable. There’s a couple of different versions of the game to choose from, which we break down below.
To start things off, there’s thestandard edition. This is the basic version of the game for $60. If you preorder it or any other version of Resident Evil Village, you’ll get Resident Evil Re:Verse, a new multiplayer game, as well as two special items:
If you’re going digital and didn’t play Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, consider theComplete Editionbundle, which includes both games at $80. You’ll get the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard with all its DLC but only the standard version of Resident Evil Village.
Next up, there’s theDeluxe Edition. This copy of the game is available for $70 and includes the Trauma Pack, which consists of the following items:

Preorders have opened across retailers, though the Collector’s Edition will likely sell out quickly. If you buy a copy of Resident Evil Village on Xbox One, you’ll get a free upgrade to theXbox Series XorXbox Series Sversion through Smart Delivery. Do note that you obviously won’t be able to play a disc on the Xbox Series S.

If you just want to play Resident Evil Village, this is the way to go. You’ll get the game at $60 with a couple of digital extras for preordering. It’ll be the same great experience with Smart Delivery support, so you get the right copy for your Xbox console.
Did you miss the last one?
This isn’t a bad deal if you didn’t play Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and want to get caught up on the story. Just note you won’t get any Deluxe Edition items for Resident Evil Village.
If you want more
The Deluxe Edition has some special stuff fans will want, such as new gameplay music, a harder difficulty option, and some digital artwork. For only $10 extra, it’s not a bad slate of bonuses.
For the biggest fans only
The Resident Evil Village Collector’s Edition includes a statue, box, art book, and steelbook case to go along with the game’s Deluxe Edition. This is going to sell out quickly.
