We know for a fact that theXbox Series Xwill play discs, as a 4K Blu-ray optical drive is part of the confirmed specs, as well as being visible on the console. Xbox Series X is also fully backward compatible with all games across four generations that you can currently play on your Xbox One. This means that Xbox Series X is going to continue supporting discs for anyone that wants to play their games via discs, including past Xbox One discs, as well as watch 4K Blu-ray movies.
There’s still a long way to go before the Xbox Series X gets a full reveal ahead of its holiday 2020 release, but we already know so much aboutthe specs. With 12.15 TFLOPs of graphics power and an 8-core processor that are powered by RDNA 2 and Zen 2 architecture, the console aims to reach 8K resolution and up to 120 frames per second, along with hardware-accelerated DirectX ray tracing and a variable refresh rate.

TheXbox Series X and Xbox Series Sare scheduled to release on November 10, 2020. The consoles are being priced at $499 and $299, respectively.
