Gamers flooded back to classic Xbox 360-eraCall of Dutygames after the online servers forBlack Ops,Black Ops 2andModern Warfare 3were revived last week.

Though the repairs went unannounced (withmatchmaking improvements coming from Microsoft itselfand not Activision), the move was met with a lot of fanfare as hundreds of thousands of players revisited these games’ online multiplayer.

(FYI) The Xbox 360 Call of Duty servers are back online and now gamers are flooding back!!

In fact, these games have shot to the top of Xbox’s top paid games list with 2009’sModern Warfare 2currently in the top spot. Even more impressive is the fact that Xbox Series X sales on Amazon have reportedly jumped since the server fix for these old games, with the Series X being reported sold out in stores.

Since the Xbox 360 Call of Duty servers were fixed, people are reporting Xbox Series X’s being SOLD OUT in stores.

If true, these reports go to show that the importance of theCall of Dutyfranchise should not be underestimated. It’s no wonder Microsoft is so keen on snagging the series with itspending acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
