Xbox console exclusive TUNIC is getting a free demo weekend on Windows

What you need to know
The world is fillled with unique and exciting indie games, andTUNICis shaping up to be another gem. This interesting game is an action-adventure title that has you take control of an adorable fox person, as you explore the world and fight creatures from the darkness. It’s been in development for some time now, and the developer, Finji, wants to bring the latest demo to the people in lieu of a proper E3 or PAX event.
This means a free demo weekend, which will start on Thursday, August 27, and end on Sunday, August 30, in which any player can enjoy an early build of TUNIC as much as they want, as long as they’re still within the allotted time frame. The demo is only on Windows, however, and won’t be available on Xbox at this time. In order to play, you’ll need a Windows computer, a modern game controller (like one ofour best PC gaming controllers), and you’ll need to either grab the demo fromIndie Arena Boothor fromSteamwhenever the demo goes live.
The developer also mentioned that the demo may need a fairly decent gaming rig to run well, but using theShift + Qkeys can cycle through various resolutions to hopefully help the game run better if you notice your framerate is suffering. Finally, the developer will be hosting a live Q&A on theirTwitchon Sunday, August 30 at 2 pm Pacific, 5 pm Eastern, if interested fans have any questions after the demo is over.
Unfortunately, this still doesn’t tell us when TUNIC is officially coming to Xbox and Windows devices, but it’s nice that players will be able to get their hands on the game, even from the comfort of their home.
