Yakuza: Like a Dragon gets November release, hits Xbox Series X at console’s launch

The Yakuza franchise is made up of many over-the-top action games that focus on revenge in most cases. The latest entry,Yakuza: Like a Dragon, should launch in Holiday 2020. Today, Sega sent us a press release detailing the launch window and select voice actors.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is launching in November 2020 in the West. It’s coming toXbox One, Windows 10, PlayStation 4, and Steam then. However, theXbox Series Xversion will release on day one on the console’s release date, and the PlayStation 5 version will release at a later date. A PlayStation 5 upgrade path is also being planned for the Western release and will be announced at a later date. The Microsoft Store says it’s launching on November 13, but that may be a placeholder for now.

Also revealed in today’s announcement was the English voice cast of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which features, among many talented actors, Star Trek’s George Takei. Takei plays the role of Masumi Arakawa, a powerful patriarch whose dissolution of the Tojo Clan sets into motion the conflict in the game.

Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami are available right now onXbox Game Pass. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is joining the service on July 30. If you’re new to the series, be sure to check it out if you’re a subscriber. They’re excellent games and if you love the action, expect even more thrills in Yakuza: Like a Dragon in November!
