According toMicrosoft 365 Roadmap, Microsoft Teams will soon allow meeting organizers to assign seats to participants in Together Mode.Together Modewas incorporated into teams to enhance the user experience. For instance,availing it for all meeting sizesas well as allowing users tocustomize Together Mode scenes for more fun meetings.
Previously, users could only assign the presenter or meeting organizer a seat using the custom scene for Together Mode. However, with this new ability that is supposed to reach general availability sometime in September, meeting organizers will now be able to control and decide where each meeting attendee sits.
According to thefolks at Neowin, “Microsoft is currently targeting those who use Teams on desktop PCs and Mac. The Together Mode improvement will initially be available for these two platforms only”.
